Psalm 121 Devotional
Psalm 121:1-8 "I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore."
Imagine where your help would come from if you did not have God in your life. Where would your help come from? Yourself? Others opinions? I don't even want to think about where my help would come from if I didn't have God. How comforting to know that He made heaven and earth and sees me & you. He won't let my foot be moved and does not slumber. He keeps us like no-one else! He loves us so much that He won't allow us to do something or be somewhere without already knowing where we are going or coming from. He provides always. We can trust Him in that.
Remember how He took care of Job and allowed things to happen to Him. Remember how He kept Daniel from the mouths of the hungry lions in the den. Remember how He provided for Moses in the midst of crafting a huge boat whom no-one had ever seen before. Finally, remember how He sent Jesus to each one of us so that we might not perish and have eternal life through Jesus.
He will keep you! He is trustworthy! We can lean into Him and know that He will keep us now and forevermore. That's a promise all throughout the Bible for His children.
